HIIT Fusion
HIIT has been around for several years, but seems to have recently gained more popularity. HIIT stands for High Intensity Interval Training.
It has become my new favorite because of the minimal workout time and great toning results. I personally don’t like long workouts. I try to find workout videos that are under 30 minutes.
HIIT is recommended to be done within 15 to 20 minute intervals and no more then 3 times a week. It is comprised of short bursts of intense high energy and then a recovery period of low intensity rest periods.
HIIT is known to heighten the metabolism. It is great for burning calories, which can happen up to 14 hours after HIIT is performed. This can aid in weight loss, strengthening and toning muscles, heart health, reducing stress, anxiety, and depression. It is also known to help with obsessive compulsive disorder. HIIT is safe for all age groups.
You will know you are feeling the result of the workout if you are feeling out of breath, have a heart rate increase and are feeling a burn.
It is suggested to eat a diet including protein after a HIIT workout.
HIIT Fusion can be be incorporated with all types of workout, such as, yoga, pilates, barre, circuit training, weight training, aerobics, calisthenics, treadmill, stationary bike, versa climber, boxing, swimming and the list goes on.
You can search on the internet to find local fitness studios and personal trainers that offer HIIT workouts and can also search videos online.
